The Ghana Education Service (GES) has declared Monday, March 7th, a holiday for all schools across the country. The move is aimed at giving students and teachers enough rest after the Independence Day anniversary parade, which was held on Saturday, March 6.

The Independence Day anniversary parade is an annual event in Ghana that commemorates the country’s independence from British colonial rule in 1957. The parade, which involves various schools and security agencies, is usually held on March 6 and is a significant event in Ghana’s history.

However, the GES has recognized the need for students and teachers to rest after the strenuous activities involved in the parade. The holiday will enable them to recover and prepare for the resumption of academic activities on Tuesday, March 8th.

The decision by the GES to declare a holiday has been welcomed by many parents, students, and teachers across the country. They have expressed their appreciation to the GES for recognizing the importance of rest and the welfare of students and teachers.
