Police Forward Hussein-Suale Murder Docket to Attorney-General

Prosecutors have confirmed to the Madina District Court that the case docket concerning the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale has been submitted to the Attorney-General’s Office by the police.
This development was revealed on Tuesday, April 13, 2025, during the court appearance of Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a businessman accused of involvement in Hussein-Suale’s killing.
Chief Inspector Akua Bamfoa Bamfo, leading the prosecution, informed the court that she had learned through a defense lawyer that Owusu Koranteng was granted bail by a Human Rights Court on May 12, 2025. She added that efforts were underway to fulfill the bail conditions.
Presiding judge Susan Nyakotey directed the prosecution to obtain the Attorney-General’s report and to file a Bill of Indictment.
The case has been adjourned to June 17, 2025.
Koranteng, 35, faces charges of abetment of crime and murder. The District Court has not yet taken his plea, and a prior bail application filed on his behalf was recently rejected by the High Court.
